Procurement Technical Unit

Our core responsibilities are:

  • Coordinate the weekly and special meetings of the Government Tenders Board (‘Tenders Board’),
  • Prepare the Tenders Board’s Circular Memorandum Meeting Schedule.
  • Provide secretarial services to the Tenders Board through carrying out of technical review of reports submitted and provide technical advice for the Board’s informed decision,
  • Circulate urgent reports that requires the Board’s consideration and approval or Cabinet’s final decision as the case may be.
  • Participate and assist with the on-going technical review of Part K of the Treasury Instruction, Procurement Operating Manual, Standard Bidding Documents, Consultancy Remuneration Framework and all other procurement related policies,
  • Prepare Cabinet Submissions of tendered projects that are subject to the final decision of Cabinet.
  • Contribute with the development of a procurement policy as well as the implementation phase.
