Procurement Technical Unit
Our core responsibilities are:
- Coordinate the weekly and special meetings of the Government Tenders Board (‘Tenders Board’),
- Prepare the Tenders Board’s Circular Memorandum Meeting Schedule.
- Provide secretarial services to the Tenders Board through carrying out of technical review of reports submitted and provide technical advice for the Board’s informed decision,
- Circulate urgent reports that requires the Board’s consideration and approval or Cabinet’s final decision as the case may be.
- Participate and assist with the on-going technical review of Part K of the Treasury Instruction, Procurement Operating Manual, Standard Bidding Documents, Consultancy Remuneration Framework and all other procurement related policies,
- Prepare Cabinet Submissions of tendered projects that are subject to the final decision of Cabinet.
- Contribute with the development of a procurement policy as well as the implementation phase.
