Our team is tasked with overseeing the development of policies and legal frameworks to effectively manage government assets including monitoring use of government vehicles through the government browser and Vehicle Taskforce, government buildings under the Ministry’s portfolio on the local level such as the TATTE, FMFMII, and the Prayer House as well as overseas properties belonging to the Government.
We also oversee the administration of insurance for all major government assets. We are central to the disposal of government assets, coordinating the entire process from the write-off stage to the auction phase, in collaboration with relevant line ministries and public bodies. We also oversee the National Energy Sector Plan in collaboration with the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment and relevant stakeholders, ensuring its effective coordination and implementation through the National Energy Coordinating Committee and the Energy Efficiency Monitoring Team & Petroleum Taskforce. Our responsibilities include maintaining the energy data repository and monitoring various initiatives related to petroleum, energy efficiency, and energy conservation. Our policy advice on energy sector matters to the Cabinet are provided through the CEO of the Ministry and the Minister of Finance. Our team is responsible for monitoring, calculation and monthly release of petroleum prices.
