This Unit is responsible for monitoring the overall performance of the economy (fiscal and monetary policies) in collaboration with the Central Bank of Samoa (CBS) through the Macroeconomic Policy and Coordinating Committee (MPCC). We not only monitor, we also provide economic advise on the performance of the economy to Cabinet, through the CEO and Minister of Finance. We also facilitate implementation of the Government’s investment policy through the Investment Committee. Our work consists of the following:
