Hon. Mulipola Anarosa, Acting Prime Minister and Minister of Police, met with the Australian High Commissioner and representatives of the Australian Federal Police to discuss the Pacific Policing Initiative (PPI)-a Pacific-led, Australian-supported program aimed at enhancing policing capabilities across our region.
The PPI focuses on three key pillars:
-Regional Centers of Excellence-including one proposed for Samoa
-Pacific Police Support Group
-Pacific Policing Development and Coordination Hub
These efforts build on commitments made under the 2050 Strategy for the Blue Pacific Continent and the Boe Declaration, ensuring a “Pacific family first” approach to security and peace.
Samoa is proud to play a leading role in this initiative, reflecting the progress in our policing institutions and infrastructure. Together, we are working towards a safer, stronger Pacific.
