We are pleased to announce the commencement of the “IT Audit Fundamentals for Internal Audit” training program, bringing together Internal Auditors from across the Government of Samoa.
This critical initiative, facilitated by Technical Advisor Mr. John Vila and funded by Tautai, aims to enhance the capacity of the Internal Audit function to conduct Risk-Based Audits of IT controls, an area of increasing importance amid evolving digital and cybersecurity risks. The training is structured into three groups of Internal Auditors, each undertaking two comprehensive days of instruction designed to deepen technical expertise and practical application.
The program was formally opened with remarks delivered by the ACEO of the Internal Audit & Investigations Division, Ministry of Finance (MOF), Ms Tuala Losalini Moli-Reupena who represented the CEO of MOF and Chairperson of the Government Audit Committee. This highlights the strong leadership commitment to strengthening governance, risk management, and control frameworks across the Government.
We extend our sincere appreciation to Mr. Vila, Government of Australia, and all stakeholders involved in this initiative. We encourage all participants to fully engage with the training and leverage the knowledge gained to reinforce the integrity and resilience of Samoa’s public sector IT systems.
