Internal Audit Forum: First Meeting for FY2026/27

The Internal Audit (IA) Forum held its first quarterly meeting for FY2026/27 today, bringing together internal auditors from Ministries, Constitutional Offices, and Public Bodies across Government.

Chaired by the Deputy CEO Operations of the Ministry of Finance, Avini Olivetti Bentin, discussions focused on the FY2025/26 Annual Report and the Cross-Government Annual Internal Audit Work Plan for FY2026/27, including priority areas for risk-based audit.

The Forum continues to support the shift towards a more proactive, risk-based and value-adding internal audit function, strengthening collaboration, professional practice, good governance, accountability, transparency, and risk management across Government.

Through this collective approach, internal auditors are better positioned to provide independent assurance and practical advice while contributing meaningful value to Government operations, performance, and reforms.
