Today, representatives from Trade and Investment Queensland (TIQ) met with the Acting Prime Minister and Minister of Finance Hon. Mulipola Anarosa Ale Molio'o as part of the TIQ Business Mission to Samoa.
The meeting provided an opportunity to formally introduce TIQ and outline its commitment to fostering deeper economic engagement between Queensland and Samoa.
Hon Mulipola provided an update on Samoa’s Pathway for Development Priorities & Partnership Opportunities with a particular focus on:
*Infrastructure – Strong transport networks, reliable utilities, modern urban development, and secure, affordable high-speed internet.
*Investment – Fiscally sustainable sectors like agriculture, fisheries, tourism, private-sector innovation, and exports.
*Renewable Energy – Driving the transition through solar, hydro, wind, biomass, and electric mobility.
Partnerships for Growth
Hon Mulipola welcome further collaborations that strengthen climate resilience, disaster-risk management, sustainable resource use, and waste management. Opportunities include sourcing from Samoa, establishing local presence, and joint ventures with Samoan businesses.
